I work in the apparel industry, are you familiar with David Birnbaum? He puts out an in depth monthly 100+ page newsletter (often humorous and irreverent) on the status of apparel manufacturing in LDCs ($400 sub per annum). Being kindred, there's common threads (no pun intended) between what each of you say. Obviously, your entry brings these points to mind.
